Biography

William Dooling is a cum laude graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School, and a former editor-in-chief of the Minnesota Journal of Law, Science, and Technology. He has previously worked for the Minneapolis City Attorney's Office, and as a legal research assistant. As a lawyer, Dooling has handled a diverse array of state and federal cases ranging from federal securities fraud and mail fraud cases to state-level assaults, thefts, DUI's, and traffic offenses.

Dooling also holds a master's degree in Library and Information Science. Prior to his work as a lawyer, Dooling worked as an academic reference librarian specializing in history and social science. He has also worked as a journalist specializing in campaign finance research (in Madison, Wisconsin) and a science teacher (In Kaohsiung, Taiwan, where he lived for many years). He currently lives in the Longfellow neighborhood of Minneapolis with his wife (whom he met in library school). In his spare time, he designs computer games and collects rare books.

Dooling is admitted to practice in the State of Minnesota as well as the U.S. Federal District court for the State of Minnesota.
